Under the patronage of his Excellency; Eng. Tarek AlMolla; Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the third edition of EPEEC Conference and Exhibition for Energy Efficiency was held on 17th-18th of May in the presence of heads of organizations, holding companies and significant representatives from Egyptian and foreign petroleum companies. The conference got off the ground with the Minister's opening statement about the sector's attentiveness towards enhancing energy-efficient technologies, combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions. The Minister emphasized the ministry's continuous commitment for years to adopt energy-saving solutions considering natural gas as a vital component in the total energy mix for a low-carbon future. Chem. Ehab Abdel Halim, AMOC's chairman and CEO outlined his company's employment of new energy-efficient measures to optimize the usage of energy resources saying that the conference is a perfect opportunity to discuss climate change issues ahead of COP 27 conference which is to be held in Egypt coming November.
