AMOC & EPROM… Adding 3D Modeling to Enhance the Operations and Technical Support Contract

As part of the ongoing cooperation within the petroleum sector, Alexandria Mineral Oils Company AMOC and the Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance EPROM, have signed an addendum to their existing operations and technical support contract, aiming to enhance its technical and operational value. The addendum was signed by Chem. Maged ElKordy, AMOC’s Chairman and CEO, and Eng. Hossam Asaad, EPROM’s Chairman and CEO, in the presence of senior leaders from both companies. Under the new agreement, 3D Modeling applications will be introduced within the scope of the contract. This will contribute to an optimal utilization of available spaces for installing new equipment, identifying clashes during the addition or modification of pipelines, accelerating design preparation, reducing time and costs, and supporting risk assessment and safety activities, as well as defining work plans during repair and maintenance,while fully complying with technical standards and occupational health and safety requirements. Chem. Maged ElKordy highlighted the project’s positive economic impact, noting its role in reducing operating costs and confirming that the application has already proven successful in improving operational efficiency. Implementation and follow-up will be carried out through the General Management of Engineering Affairs. Eng. Hossam Asaad praised the long-standing cooperation between AMOC and EPROM, emphasizing the strength of the partnership between the two companies. The new application represents an important step toward using AI-supported technologies in operations management and in identifying the most efficient operational approaches. Both companies reaffirmed their commitment to continuing this strategic partnership to enhance operational performance and ensure production readiness, in line with the petroleum sector’s strategy, institutional integration, and sustainable development goals.
