Committed to a cleaner production process, AMOC is honored the privilege to participate in MED Test II (Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology). This project is reflected in UNIDO’s vision through supporting industries in the Southern Mediterranean to generate savings for a better environmental performance. AMOC’s participation is sponsored by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Environment and ENCPC; Egypt National Cleaner Production Center. Based on AMOC’s compliance with the standard environmental regulations and meeting the project’s requirements, AMOC has been selected among 28 participating Egyptian industries, 15 companies in the chemical sector and the only entity in the Egyptian Petroleum sector. The project aims at economizing the natural resources and developing a better environmental performance to achieve sustainability. The project focuses on AMOC’s Lube Oil Complex targeting an annual saving potential in water and energy consumption approved by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
