Gasoline is an important strategic product. Octane number (ON) is the most agreed upon specification for indicating gasoline grade quality. vehicles specified the gasoline grade (like gasoline 92, 80), which is produced by schedule blending of higher octane number product (gasoline 95) and lower octane number product (Naphtha). Octane number of gasolines can be increased by petroleum processes or additions or chemical additives, which all are costly ways with side environmental issues. In this work serval petroleum waste extracts, which are produced from Alexandria Mineral Oils Co.`s (AMOC) refinery plan were investigated by thin layer chromatography equipped with flame ionized detector to get “S.A.R.A analysis” which refer to (saturates, aromatics, resin and asphaltenes) content in the waste according to petroleum institution (IP-469). Also, kinematic viscosity according to ASTM D-445, FT-IR analysis and Color measurements were conducted. Two extracts (light condensate hydrocarbon “Skim Oil-VDU” and spindle oil extracted aromatic “SP.E.A”), which have higher octane number components, were chosen as additive to improve the ON which partially replaces gasoline 95 (highest cost). Samples have been tested by a detailed hydrocarbon analyzer gas chromatography to indicate their content of paraffins, olefins, naphthene and aromatics which is known as (P.O.N.A) analysis and research octane number RON according to ASMT D-6730. The results showed that 4 and 5 volume% of gasoline 95, which is the main costly component in gasoline 80 by Skim Oil-VDU to give RON equal to 80.4 and 81.6 respectively. Also 5 % of SP.E.A can be replaced the some value of gasoline 95 in the gasoline 80 blend to give RON 80.6. The ON of the obtained three new blends is confirmed by using performance cooperative fuel research CRF motor test as ASTM D-2699. ON equal to 80.2, 81.2 and 80.2 are obtained as 4 and 5 % of Skim Oil-VDU and 5% SP.E.A were added respectively. Also these new blends were subjected to density, r.v.p, distillation, residue, color and sulphur content analysis. The results showed that these blends have satisfied the properties of commercial gasoline 80, which used as vehicles fuel in the market with reducing cost and without bad environmental effects. Also, this leads to an increase in the total production amount of the gasoline 80 as well as reduction of the imported amount of gasoline 95.
